Jeremy at Christmas

Back in November my mum sent out some parcels from England for Christmas and despite being posted on the same day, 2 out of 4 arrived to the delivery address (my work) before the holiday. The other 2 arrived at my office the start of this week, despite the 4/12/15 in large red pen having been written on the outside packaging from the Post Office in Jakarta. Now before some bright spark decides I can be sued for defamation (Indonesia has rules where you / should not slag off companies, doctors etc freely) I won't exaggerate by saying, someone between Customs at the Airport and the Post office Staff at their sorting office opened all the parcels, unwrapped the gifts, took a look and then attempted to rewrap them. I don't have photos as proof as there is no point, and I not surprised as it happens all the time. Sometimes things are taken. Not all people are honest in the Postal service here. So I hope they live miserable lives and are happy stealing other peoples happiness.

Still moving on.

Christmas was a quiet affair this year with no tree for fear of Jeremy destroying it as he is into touching and pulling things. So the only thing we did was on Christmas Eve by putting up some snowflake decorations that were sent from Helen and some twinkling lights. This kept Jeremy quiet for 3 minutes before he erupted into green light, yellow light, blue light and so on and he seemed happy enough. This year the tree is going up and a bigger effort will be made to make things different and more interesting for him.
I aslo had to fly out to Singapore for reasons and so I was able to get some last minute necessities (chocolate, vodka, toys and things) so that was fun.

Star Wars had arrived at Changi Airport

Christmas day saw Jeremy with a lot of Thomas the Tank Engine trains and track, books and clothes, as well new flashcards to play with. All of which have been thrown around the house a lot since. He has learnt to say Happy Christmas which is nice and is still saying it now!!!

We spent Christmas day at home playing and having fun with him and then on Boxing day went to the Mulia Hotel for the night and so we could pamper ourselves and chill out for a night.

He loves being in the bed at the hotel

Way too deep but he seemed to think he was swimming
I was off for 2 weeks and Yovita for a week and so we spent our time with him at home or out on a bus shopping or going somewhere for coffee or food. We went on a train as well which I have already posted about and spent lots of time with him and having fun at home.

This week, now everything is back to normal, he has had a little more of Christmas as with the parcels arriving from the Post Office, there was more paper to tear at and things to open. So now he has even more books and clothes and despite destroying one new book and declaring it broken seems to be fascinated with them and long may that continue.

New books

The Gruffalo and new clothes
A quiet and peaceful time was had by all and we had to cancel our other travel plans due to one thing and another but everyone still had fun and Jeremy still enjoyed the new sensation of Christmas and I think he will enjoy everyone to come because they are always special times regardless of what you do.
